Elizabeth Ravenwood
I do dog and cat rescue and am currently owned by four dogs and multiple cats. My smallest dog has her own designer sweaters knit by me. All sales go toward the care and upkeep of rescued animals.
As for me, I am right-brained and proud of it. Of course, that says that my house and studio are total disasters with all the projects I have going. LOL!
For swap partners: I am 50% Gryffindor and 50% Ravenclaw or a Gryffinclaw! Blue/bronze or blue/silver for Ravenclaw? Both are just fine! I am allergic to chocolate and anything containing cow’s milk. I love Jelly Belly’s, especially Buttered Popcorn flavor. I do not have pierced ears, but love stitch markers. With so many projects going, there is always a need for more. I drink tea and coffee and love trying new flavors and having plenty of coasters to set my mugs upon.
I am a fan of Harry Potter’s world, Lyra Silvertongue’s world, Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5, As Time Goes By and The Vicar of Dibley (sitcoms from our neighbors across the big pond), and most things dealing with science. Particular interests are space and oceanography.
I also am a writer/designer and am the author of Knitting Languages, Romancing the Wool, Knitted Snowflakes, Stars in the Making, and other books of knitting patterns. My “Flower Power Socks” design and my articles on building your own little great wheel and spinning with Cormo fiber can be found in Spin-Off magazine. My Braided Gems Socks pattern is enjoying interest here on Ravelry with over 100 projects. I have knitted the giant turtle, A’Tuin, from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series, a Quidditch banner, a lacy summer hat for a pig, Nessie the Loch Ness Monster, and a house full of puppets.
