Patrick Hassel-Zein
I speak Swedish, English, German, Italian, Icelandic and Mandarin. Patterns that I publish here on Ravelry are in English, Swedish and Icelandic.
What I do: I have made a few designs in knitting, but since 2008, I’m mainly working in Tunisian crochet, and have invented some own techniques to work Tunisian crochet in the round, in colours, in lace patterns, and so on. Usually I work with Icelandic wool, since the prices are low and I love the big selection of colours.
Book #1: In June 2010 I published the book “Tunisian crochet in Icelandic” with 20 patterns (plus variations) for men, women and children. These patterns are only available in Icelandic and Swedish. I don’t have the copyright to the book, so I cannot offer any translations.
Book #2: In October 2011 I published the book “Tunisian crochet for leisure and pleasure” with 30 new patterns (plus variations). It contains new and improved technique, some new stitches, several new sweaters in both lighter and thicker wool, a number of elegant and light shawls and scarves, some rather unusual patters clearly inspired by scifi, fantasy and fairytales, some items for the very smallest children, as well as a cocktail dress. Sizes range from 2-14 years and XS-4X. English translations of most of the patterns and some of the instructions are available in the Ravelry shop. More translations are to come.
Publishing on Ravelry: I do not have the copyright to book #1, so I cannot publish those patterns. I am offering English translations of a number of patterns from book #2 here on Ravelry. I also publish patterns in English that are not published in books or elsewhere.
