I’ve made this free collection of traditional patterns for accessories to the men’s folk costume from Gamlakarleby / Karleby / Kokkola (these are the old Swedish, new Swedish and Finnish names of the same town), located in Central Ostrobothnia in Finland. Crochet: Pullover
This is a warm sweater in Tunisian crochet with an Icelandic yoke. Since the inspiration to the sweater comes from the TV-series “Star Trek”, the trunk and the inside of the sleeves are black, while the yoke and the outside of the sleeves are red, gold or teal.

This is a collection of assorted hats in Tunisian crochet. All these should be suitable projects for a beginner in Tunisian crochet.

ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards, or 2½ x 3½ inches.

This is a hat in Tunisian crochet. The lower and upper sections of the hat are crocheted in different colours that meet as a net around the middle. The net is full with “ventilation holes”.

This is a slightly “knotted” tie, but crocheting clusters is only fun! :-)

This is a cowl for men, women and children. It is made in Tunisian crochet in the round. The two sides of the cowl have different structures, and both are decorative and interesting.

This hat is made in Tunisian crochet in the round. Nine tentacles (or tubes) are protruding from the middle of the hat.

This sweater in Tunisian crochet can be worn by both women and men. The sleeve lengths for sizes M-XXXL are intended for men. For women you may want to make the sleeves 3-4 cm = 1-1½ inches shorter.

This is a fun, feminine, modern and convertible cardigan made in Tunisian crochet.

This is a fun hat that is quick and easy to make.

This is a cardigan or bolero in Tunisian crochet. It is light, soft and almost shawl like. The lace pattern makes the material quite elastic in all directions. The shown model is made in two colours, but you can also make the cardigan in one colour only.

This is a light cardigan do use during summer evenings or indoors. The lace pattern is quite easy to make. The sleeves are crocheted in the round, but not the bodice.

These mittens are made in Tunisian crochet. The pattern describes mittens without stripes or other decorations, but you can add such either around the wrists or on the entire mittens.

This is a light summer sweater for children and adults. The sweater is crocheted in the round in a traditional Icelandic style with a modern pattern, and it is crocheted top-down.

Traditional Icelandic tail-caps are worn with the tail folded to the side. In this male version, the width and number of stripes can be varied, as can the colours.
