You won’t need a cable needle to create the twists and turns in this hat’s mock cable motif – it’s all done with simple decreases and increases. The crown shaping grows naturally from the pattern below, taking the interlacing rib to its tip.

Note that the stitch pattern is charted only!

  • Intermediate difficulty – Knit, purl, working in the round, simple decreases.
  • Finished circumference 15¼ (17½, 19¾, 21¾) in / 38.5 (44.5, 50, 55) cm. Shown in size 17½ in and size 19¾ in.
