Construction: Socks are knit top down. The stitch pattern goes down the back of the heel.

Yarn: Any fingering weight sock yarn would be great. Kristie used Socks That Rock for hers (the non-blue socks shown at left), and they’re fabulous. Model knit with Fleece Artist Basic Merino, in Blue Lagoon, which I actually wouldn’t recommend for this design as the yarn is too soft to hold the cables long term. I used only about 210 yards of yarn for this pair of socks. But I have short feet: size 6-1/2. Your mileage may vary.

Pattern notes: The stitch pattern requires 2 cable needles, as written, but the stitch can be done with 1 cable needle and some ingenuity.
