What am I missing?
Grandiflora
The combination of lace and chevrons in this sock is perfect for yarns with short color repeats. Solids, semi-solids, and tweeds would be marvelous, too.
Model: Model knit in size small, which with this yarn and gauge equates to a women’s medium foot.
Construction: Socks are knit top down. Pattern written so that either DPNs or circular needles can be used. Stitch pattern could be easily adapted for toe-up socks (not included).
Sizes: Small (64 sts) and large (72 sts).
Stitch instructions: charted and written.
Notions: Three stitch markers.
NOTES:
- The double YO becomes 2 sts on the following round: a knit and a purl.
- On round 2 you only knit chart A (the single slipped stitch) once per round.
- All rounds on the cuff: knit charts A, B 7 (8) times. In other words: Knit chart A once, then knit chart B 7 times (8 times for larger size).
- This is a snug-fitting sock. You might need to go up a needle size to ensure a good fit, especially if you’re a tight knitter.
