The Rosa handknit trellis and moss design jacket for toddlers up to about 4 years, 2 sizes written.

A best-selling classic for our ready to wear label, it was originally designed for the MEW label named after my children: Margaret, Emma and William. However, with the arrival of Joseph nine years after William, MEW quietly disappeared; though making cuddly children’s knitwear continues. The latest Rosa fan is Eilish Kate my grand daughter.

Worked her in katia chantilly, used double often being loved by more than one owner. Today we make them in Donegal merino, our own Sliabh Liag or Donegal tweeds aran weight.

Also see details at the end of the pattern to adapt the pattern to a boys version, (basically adding a garter base and button holes on the opposite side)
