Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A sweet textured pattern full of triangles traveling across the sock, reminiscent of pouring a big bag of candy corn into a bowl. The candy we all either love, or love to hate.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The colorway is a Brenda and Heather Yarns’ special release for Star Wars day 2022… May the 4th be with you!
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This triangular shawl is a delicate balance of solid and open work that can dress up any outfit to look regal. The colorway used in the sample is based on the Lake Dress worn by Queen Amidala. Her love of the water is echoed through this shawl in rows of soft, rippling waves washing the intermittent rows of “shells” upon the shore, with the col...

This sock combines elongated slipped stitches with eyelet columns giving the entire sock a delightful texture that is also quite stretchy. When working with self striping yarn, a slipped stitch can carry one color over the next. Using that technique here introduces a chevron type look to the otherwise rigid lines of a self striping yarn.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A delightful combination of elongated slipped stitches and cables help to create a fun and playful stitch pattern reminiscent of the X-wing Starfighters from the Star Wars universe.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The accent stitches of this pattern move in a slow spiral around the sock, reminding me of the Sand People of Tatooine who move in single file lines to hide their numbers.

Using a series of short rows and a nifty little spiral effect, this pattern mimics the swirls of paint in The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. The sample shown is knit in a colorway that was created for our 2021 BaH Yarns Sock Yarn Club. It was a wonderful colorway that we have decided to redye and will be available to purchase in 2023.

ERRATA: Day 5 pattern piece has been updated. There was a typo in the written directions in Round 2, after the stitch eyelet is created, it should read “knit 8” not “knit 9”. The chart for the day was correct. And in Round 3 is should read K9 instead of K8. And Round 7 should read “K1” at the end, not “K2”.

In this top-down sock pattern, a simple series of increases and decreases create lacy columns that run the length of the sock. The sloping lines created by the lace pattern echo ridges that are found on a mountain’s rock face. To perform a free climb, (while safety gear can be used), the person ascends a cliff using just their hands and feet.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This pattern uses the combination of slipped stitches and cables to create raised diagonal lines reminiscent of the vanes of a feather.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Elongated slip stitches and cables combine to create a subtle shifting effect that looks great in anything from solids to striping yarn.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a great beginner pattern to lead you into the amazing world of shawl knitting. A basic triangular shawl can be styled so many different ways, it’s like having more than one shawl!

This cowl was knit using a skein of Brenda and Heather Yarns’ Color Fusion gradient (Fleweffy or Light Foot base in colorway Gilleyweed) and a skein of Farm Girl Fibers’ Clover speckled yarn (in Every Flavor Beans) available at her site farmgirlfiberstn.com . A perfect pairing!

I created this cowl (pattern can also be a scarf) to be a quick and easy knit. I also liked that the pattern was simple enough to adapt to whatever was on hand. I have written the main pattern describing the sample cowl shown. On the second page, I wrote out details for several changes that could easily be used so that you can adapt the pattern...

The inspiration for this garter tab shawl is found in the impressive display of a peacock’s plumage when trying to catch the eye of a lovely peahen.

A vanilla sock knit in a self striping yarn seems to jump off the needles, but there’s nothing wrong with throwing in some flare! This pattern, while written with self striping yarn in mind, is first written as a basic sock pattern that will work with any solid or even variegated yarn.

A flutter of butterflies and a touch of lace dress up this tiny tunic that uses just one skein of Brenda and Heather Yarns’ Color Fusion yarn. The Color Fusion line transitions through two or three colors per skein, blending as they go.

I am always impressed by those who has made a mitered square blanket out of fingering weight yarn.  Tiny squares, knit on small needles, row after row… after row of them.  I love the look of the mitered square, their knitted geometry appeals to me greatly. I wistfully think of making my own blanket, but I know that I would start one, only to dr...

Terra Vista essentially means “a pleasing view of the land”.

The Buddleia is a flowering bush that is similar to a lilac bush and is widely used to attract butterflies in gardens, which is why it is also known as the Butterfly Bush. The swooping lace of Brenda’s pattern echos the leaves and flowers of the Buddleia while the crown decreases are reminiscent of a flurry of butterfly wings.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Please note: When working this pattern, you can adjust the size by adding or eliminating a short row section repeat. A good way to ensure you will have enough yarn is to weigh your shawl before you you begin the short row section, and make sure to stop the short row sections while you have enough yarn to work the final decrease section.

Brenda has created a lovely hat and mitt set adorned with cables reminiscent of icicles growing from a roof ledge.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Errata: the bead placement in the pattern was from a previous version, and while it works… it does not match the pictures. The beads should be nestled between the yarn overs and not in the decreases.

Riparian means “of the riverbank”. You’ll find entertainment in knitting this flowing lace pattern that ripples like water coursing through a river. Banked on each side by columns of seed stitch, the cowl pattern is adaptable to any yarn, quantity of yarn, or your desired dimensions. One simple alteration to this pattern would be to leave out t...
