Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I designed this hat for a class when there were requests for a team hat or a more unisex hat. This is a very basic striped hat that you can customize with any colors. You can also make it longer by knitting a longer brim, or knitting more in the main portion of the hat before they crown decrease. Please be sure to have extra yarn if you are mak...
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
I created this warm shrug because of inspiration from the cable series Outlander. I didn’t want a plain garter stitch shrug, however. I designed this shrug so that you can dress up or dress down, with a lacy pattern that still keeps you warm because of the super bulky weight yarn used. Although I use Malabrigo Rasta for this pattern (and I high...
Knitting: Scarf
I’ve designed two basic scarves that I am having available as a free download. These were my first designs for knitting classes that I taught. Feel free to download and use for teaching, but please be sure to credit me for the pattern.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Designed for hat class that I taught, this is a loose fitting hat that just rests easily on the head. For a tighter brim, you can use a small needle.
Crochet: Cowl
This beautiful cowl combines my love of finely worked filet crochet with Nordic flower patterns. This cowl is worked in fingering or sport weight yarn, but works up quickly due to the openwork design. This pattern is available in chart form, with a quick review on how to work with filet crochet charts. This pattern requires approximately 450 ya...
Knitting: Beret, Tam
I have a fascination with sea urchins, and I always like to spend a lot of time looking at them when I’m visiting any aquarium. Of course, I had to combine my love for sea urchins with my love for yarn!
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This is a nice, basic crocheted hat for older kids, teens and adults. Though sizes are given, you can go down a hook size or two to make this for younger kids. You can use this as a two-color team hat, using colors for your favorite teams, or you can crochet this in one solid color. I also have a similar knit version that can be made for sports...
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This is a feminine beret that goes well with casual and slightly dressier outfits. It can be made from a warm wool or a softer, fancier alpaca silk. The hat is the picture was made using Malabrigo Worsted in color Polar Morn, but it has been made using Cascade 220 Superwash (which yields a smaller hat) and Debbie Bliss Cashmerino.
Crochet: Baby Blanket
This simple yet elegant infant blanket is the perfect size for the stroller or car seat, or simply draping over baby during a nap. The smaller size makes it a quick gift to crochet, and the eyelet pattern makes it a classic and heirloom-quality piece of work.
