Introducing Dinky Duckling and Bo Bunny. I designed these two little friends mainly to bust some fuzzy yarn stash I had left over from Dorsey Duckling. I found I had only used a tiny amount of the second ball and either these two can be knitted with the remainder of that second ball.

Dorsey Duckling sits at 10 inches/25cms and stands at 12 inches/30cms. I have used a fuzzy yarn but he can easily be knitted from a plain Aran/Worsted weight and be just as sweet.

Honeyberry Bear measures 14 inches/36cms from head to toe or 9 inches/23cms sitting. A perfect bear for a child’s best friend.

While minding my grandchildren last winter I realised getting them to wear and keep a scarf on was quite a chore. So I gave it some thought and came up with these fun scarves and they love them and more importantly want to wear them to keep cosy.

A dear friend in US has been asking me to design a rat for a couple of years. Not being a rat lover I put her off but eventually I decided to give it a go. I’m very pleased with how has sweet this little rattie work out, still not a rat lover, but getting there!

Ever since I designed Baby Poppet I knew she needed a crib. I’ve tried several times to design her a crib but fail but this has been bugging me for a while and not one to give up I decided to just go for it and not stop until I had achieved it.

A lot of customers ask how easy/hard my designs are and although I explain that I write my patterns as simply as possible, no abbreviations, line per row, stitch count at the end of each row and include a step-by-step assembly guide which is full of photos, they still think they must be difficult.

Easter is approaching and having lots of little people in my family I wanted a quick knit bunny for them. I have also included a small basket with this pattern so I can give them their chocolate fix without going overboard.

A friend asked me to design a polar bear. I asked her if any bear knitted in white couldn’t be called a polar bear? She laughed and said do some research. So I did and saw that polar bears were different. They have large feet, small ears and nicely shaped muzzles. So I designed a polar bear!!

Having already designed two of these cuddly blankets I thought that would be enough, but a lot of customer pressure and this is my third. I do enjoy knitting these blankets, choosing the softest of yarns especially for a little one.

I’ve seen a lot of these buddy blankies, mostly they are bears and bunnies, thought this would make a nice change.

All babies enjoy a special blankie, something they will cherish for a long time. My own boys had their special blankies, caused a few problems when they went missing or were left behind for the day.

My grandson wanted a puppy he could cuddle, similar to a bear, so I designed Little Puppy for him, he’s now a firm bedtime favourite. Just the right size to push into his buggy when he’s out and about, ready for a snuggle.

Although I have designed a monkey before, I’ve been asked lots of times to design a smaller one, Cheeky Monkey is the result!! And he is a cheeky monkey, getting up to all kinds of mischief. His arms and legs are flexible and bend at knees and elbows, just like a real monkey.

This is Big Bear. He is a sitting/standing bear with a big fat tummy and a tail. A simple seam across the top of his legs makes him a floppy bear and he’s totally huggable. He stands at 19 inches approximately.

A lot of customers have asked for clothes for my bear designs, so I’ve put together a simple wardrobe for Baby Bear. All babies need nappies (diapers), A sweater to keep baby warm and a hooded jacket to keep baby cosy when he goes out.

This little baby bear has been pestering me to be created for a couple of months now, he just wouldn’t let me rest until he was down on paper. My inspiration came from my baby Grandson, Rowan.

I wanted to design an ugly bear, but didn’t quite manage it and this soft, cuddly bear was created. These bears really do seem to create themselves with little input from me.

Any 4 ply wool can be used to create these bears. I’ve even used 2 ply, the finer the wool the smaller the bear.
