This is an original pattern to make a mermaid tail really fast and easy; it is inspired in both Internet/Ravelry mermaid tails and Costa Rican tropical beaches.

This is an original design for making a baby mermaid tail blanket which combines knitting and crochet techniques: body is worked with circular knitting needles while fin is worked in crochet, with short rows of post double crochet stitches.

Knitting: Scarf
Inspired by the Pacaya (Chamadorrea costarricana), a palm tree that grows on rainy forests across Central America and whose scientific name means “gift from the earth discovered in Costa Rica.” The yarn’s color scheme combines with the fabric’s texture to mimic Pacaya leaves.
