This is my take on the old string bag. I know there are some great string bag patterns out there but I felt compelled to come up with my own version with a Shetland touch.

This dress is worked from the top down starting with a provisional/open cast on at the shoulders. The back is worked first to the underarms with the two fronts being picked up from the provisional cast on and also worked to the underarms. This hat has a lot of stretch in the brim band. Relaxed it measures 13 inches and fully stretched 16 inches.
