Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I’ve had this super-bulky yarn for years and haven’t known what to do with it. I love the colors and the way the blue and green look just like the ocean on a bright sunny day, but still – what to do with only two balls of a super-bulky? One day, I looked at a partial ball of white Cascade 220 and had a bolt of inspiration.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a top down triangular lace shawl. The lace edging reminded me of the lines left by waves at the beach; the rest of the lace moves through dunes and mountains and ends with soft clouds at the center neck edge.
Knitting: Gloves
These gloves are a recreation of a beautiful pair of antique Estonian lace gloves I saw about 10 years ago. I loved the way the lace curved around the edge of the hand and the way the two different lace patterns interacted.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This beautiful pattern is easier than it looks, but still requires an understanding of lace techniques. The antique lace stitch has decreases and yarn overs on both the knit and the purl sides of the work!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is a fast, basic pattern, flexible and good in both plain and multicolored yarns.
Knitting: Scarf
Worked in a cobweb weight mohair and silk blend, this is a light and lovely fluffy warm scarf, long enough to wrap around your neck many times. Worked in a dk weight wool, this will give you a delicate looking but sturdy scarf, good for all but the coldest of winter days.
