Boat Trip is a cowl which uses shaping inspired by a semi-circular shawl, to produce a low swooping front. This cowl provides a secure way of wearing lace around your neck, with no additional bulk that a shawl can produce, and using less yarn than a shawl may require.

The shawl is constructed using Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Pi Shawl construction, halved. The result is a semi-circular shawl that only has 7 or 8 increase rows (depending on whether you chose to do a ruffled edge or not). Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A cabled hat pattern designed to fit and suit both men and women. This pattern is knit in the round on 4mm and 5mm circular or double pointed needles, using less than 100g of aran or worsted weight yarn. It suits either solid or variegated yarns, though a heavily striped yarn would hide the cabling.
