This shawl is a little less daunting than Grandifolia. It starts with a Crescent with Leaf accents. The border is worked in the Grandifolio leaves pattern, but with just three leaves per branch.

I have a high instep, so a 72 stitch sock is a must.

2020 01 19:

This is an elongated triangle starting with a leaf and ending with an accent leaf. The leaves grow from a stem and end at the top of the tree with smaller sprouting leaves.

This pattern was inspired by Lionbrand L40247 and my love of Slip Stitch knitting.

I wanted to design a shawl around a garden of tulips. Thus, latticework and a field of tulips.

November 27:

The Manos colours were just begging to be knit together. With the black it just popped so nicely I couldn’t resist. Log Cabin seemed an obvious choice.

This is funnel shaped. you can adjust easily starting large and going smaller, or starting at a midpoint and going smaller or starting larger and going to the medium size.

I used at 12.75 mm needle because that is what I had.

I knit a vest while watching Lord of the Rings on Boxing Day a few years ago.

I used homespun, but you could use a super bulky yarn

156 m of Black Mission falls

.You will need 35 grams of each color yarn. Feel free to substitute with other Aran weight yarn.

The yarn is used doubled.

For a facecloth use DK and a 4mm needle

The pattern is now written for either DK or Worsted weight yarns.

30 gm (60 meters) of Off White

37 grams of the darker colour (Magenta)

Size before felting is 20 in x 24 in.

40 grams of each colour (Dark Pink and Green) are used
