TEST KNITTING APPLICATION OPEN UNTIL JANUARY 11, 2026
I’m opening a tester call for Chiara — a tailored, Italian-inspired jacket with clean lines, quiet structure, and refined shaping. Chiara is designed for a feminine silhouette, with defined shoulders and a carefully constructed yoke that follows the body’s contours.

Chiara is a fit-focused design built on my Form & Fit tailor-knitting concept, now offered as part of my Ready-to-Wear Fit Collection. The pattern is written in standard sizes XS–2XL, with each size drafted and tested individually to ensure consistent fit and clear instructions.

You may choose your size:
• using multiple body measurements for a more customized result, or
• traditionally, based on chest circumference only.

What we are testing
• Standard sizes XS–2XL (bust 70–120 cm / 28–48”)
• Fit, proportions, and balance
• Positive ease of approx. 0–7 cm/0–2.75”
• Clarity and flow of the instructions

Note on sizing:
Because Chiara is a sculpted, tailored design, testing is limited to sizes up to 2XL. For larger sizes, body proportions tend to vary significantly, and my experience shows that a made-to-measure approach gives better results than simple grading. This is an area I am actively developing for future work.

Construction & pattern structure
Chiara uses European Shoulder Construction, knitted top-down with an asymmetrical set-in sleeve, and worked without seaming. The jacket is knitted in the round and later cut open using the steek method.

Front, back, and sleeves are developed asymmetrically, meaning each section follows its own shaping logic and is written row by row. In Chiara, shaping is further integrated with stitch-pattern math, requiring the stockinette fabric and the 1-stitch diagonal basket-weave edge pattern to flow seamlessly together.

Because each area of the garment (front, back, front sleeve, rear sleeve) is structurally different, the pattern is highly specific and non-repetitive. This precision enables a sculpted, tailored fit but requires focused knitting and careful reading, particularly in the yoke.

To support a smooth test, access to the main pattern is released once gauge has been checked, as accurate gauge is essential for fit, balance, and stitch-pattern alignment.

Additional shaping options:
• Full Bust Adjustment (lengthwise and widthwise)
• Waist shaping (hourglass)
• Hip shaping (A-line or V-line)
