Chiara — Form & Fit©
Chiara is a top-down jacket pattern featuring European Shoulder construction and set-in sleeves.

An Italian-inspired design defined by clean lines, structured shaping, and a balanced, tailored expression, with defined shoulders and a carefully constructed yoke that follows the body’s contours.

Chiara builds on the Form & Fit construction — extends the same principles from the Inge sweater into a jacket - combining structure, layering, and a more classic expression.

Design details
Chiara combines smooth stockinette with structured stitch elements, creating a subtle interplay between surface and texture.

Diagonal basket weave edges frame the jacket and bring a quiet sense of structure to the clean lines.

Optional elements can be added to shift the expression further:
• cheat pockets
• decorative buttons
These details allow the jacket to move towards a more classic, tailored look.

Sizing & fit
Sizes XS – 2XL are offered with a recommended positive ease of approx. 0–7 cm / 0–2.75”.

Pick & Match© — structured flexibility
Instead of choosing one fixed size, the jacket is built from separate elements:
• back & shoulders
• upper body (yoke)
• body shaping

This allows sizes to be combined across sections while maintaining balance and clean lines.

The same pattern can also be used again and again for different bodies.

Construction & pattern structure
The jacket is worked seamlessly from the top down and later opened using the steek method.

Front, back, and sleeves are developed asymmetrically, meaning each section follows its own shaping logic and is written row by row.

This allows the garment to follow the body more precisely across sizes and proportions.

Tailoring Fit Guides included
The pattern includes Tailoring Fit Guides to support key shaping adjustments:
• Posture shaping
• Full Bust Adjustment (length and width)
• Waist shaping (hourglass)
• Hip shaping (A-line)

The guides are designed to help you work with your own proportions using body fix point to structure your adjustments.
They include rules of thumb, calculations, step-by-step instructions, and typical errors with corrections (knitwear diagnostics).
