Knitting: Cowl
Gauge is not esstential but try to get as close as possible.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The response to the Trash Stash Cowl was s o great I decided to add a hat to the mix. Knit in the round with a variety of yarns, make your own “trash stash “ yarn ball by diving into your leftover bag. Combine thin yarns and use a mix of color and texture. Don’t over think it, they all work out beautifully.
Knitting: Cowl
I designed this cowl for the Northampton Wools Escape to the Cape week end last year. We put together “trash” balls of yarn from my extensive supply of leftover yarns, trying to keep the weights near the 4.5 sts to an inch. Sometimes I combined yarns, and I put roughly 175 yds in each ball. I wound the balls on the ball winder, counting about 2...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This pattern was first published in a collection of baby blanket patterns by Storey Publishing.
Knitting: Cardigan
Make this quick and easy in a week-end of knitting. This simple stitch creates a great texture. This yarn is spun lightly so that the sweater can keep you warm, but won’t drag you down. The set-in sleeves helps to keep the bulky look from overpowering the shoulders.
Knitting: Pullover
This pullover is relatively simple to knit. The cable pattern is easy to see and the wrong side rows are all do what you see. It is meant to be slightly oversized and comfortable to wear.
Knitting: Cowl
I designed this cowl using the traditional Sanquhar chart patterns as a project for the group of knitters that came to the Edinburgh Yarnfest with me. We had a really wonderful time and many of these knitters finished the cowl. It is knit with two colors of Jaggerspun Lamb’s Wool in a worsted weight, and although black and white are the most tr...
Knitting: Cowl
I designed and knit this cowl while on a trip with 30 of my knitting friends to the Edinburgh Yarnfest. The way the knits and purls move up and down reminds me of the many staircases found in the city. I hope you enjoy knitting it.
Knitting: Vest
Simple and quick to knit in bulky weight yarn, this vest is a basic beginner pattern. The addition of German short rows to make the shawl collar is an easy introduction to short row shaping.

This is a variation on the Hudson Hat kit by Tahki Yarns. The cowl is knit in the round alternating 4 rounds of the wool with 2 rounds of the fur. This cowl is knit in the round and is easy to do. The pattern sequence repeats without interruption until it reaches the desired width. Almost mindless knitting with a great result!
Knitting: Cowl
This design came about at the request of a customer who saw a similar design on the Eileen Fisher website. It matches the size of their design, but you can make it shorter to fit closer. Easy enough for a beginner knitter who wants to learn to cable in a simple design. The softness of the brushed alpaca makes this a great gift item as well.
Knitting: Cowl
Knitting: Pullover
This is a pullover that is knit in worsted weight yarn. The majority of the stitches used in the design are simple, but the seeded chevron stitch can be a little tricky because of the long repeat. It doesn’t fit evenly into the number of sts on the needle so care needs to be taken when starting the wrong side rows.
Knitting: Cowl
Knit in the round on a large needle with a simple yo pattern, this cowl can be knit up in the time it takes to watch a movie.

Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is designed to fit closely; like a funnel against the chin, therefore a “Chunnel”. Knit in the round on a 24” circular needle, it uses 100 yds of each color for a total of 200 yds. The technique is mosaic knitting, so you are only knitting with one color at at time and slipping the other sts. Deepest appreciation to Barbara Walker and...

Knitting: Cowl
Inspired by a cowl found on the streets of New York, the entire Wednesday morning class made this cowl for gifts a few years ago. Easy to knit on straight needles, the fit can be adjusted by knitting a few more inches in length so that it isn’t quite so close to the neck, but who doesn’t love to cuddle up with alpaca?
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up. Use leftover yarn to add a touch of color to the cast on row and the bind off row.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These mitts for a man were made on double pointed needles using yarn leftover from another project. You will need approx. 50 yds of each color to make the mitts. The thumb opening is simple buttonhole- I recommend using the one-row buttonhole to make a smooth and hole-free opening.
Knitting: Cowl
I made this cowl for my husband to wear on our dog walks in the early morning. His neck was always exposed and he hated wearing a scarf. This litle piece, knit in the round and decreased at the neckline, gave him the coverage needed without the bulk or worry of a scarf.
Knitting: Pullover
Notes About this Design; Although the Fractured Lattice pattern is not difficult by itself, combined with the decreasing at the armholes it does become tricky keeping track of how the rows should begin. Please take the time to really get to know the repeat so that the armhole and neck shaping don’t interfere with the continuity of the pattern. ...

The back of this cardigan is knit in one piece from side to side and then folded on itself to create the sleeves. The construction is similar to my origami pullover design, but the front is made long enough to go all around the neck to create the cardigan.
