• The main pattern is a twisted 2 x 1-rib, which nicely shows off the slight sheen of the yarn I used and was inspired by, The Yarn Yard’s Clan.
• You could use any fingering-weight yarn and adjust needle sizes accordingly.
• The colour work is done in slip-stitch, so you only work one colour at a time.

• I also am grateful that probablyjane shared her technique for avoiding ladders: “make sure that the dpn you are knitting from is in front of the preceding one and that the second rather than the first stitch is pulled tight” -- presto!
• CatsEye has suggested an improved symmetrical increase for the thumb gusset: for the left-hand increase, lift loop of second stitch down of the stitch just knit, and place on LN, knit/purl into this loop
