Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I call this Feathers Shawl because I thought that the lace pattern resembled feathers. There are also directions for a large or small scarf, included.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The Patricia Ruana was named for my mother. As I created this red ruana, I had Mom in mind. For Mother’s Day, I sent some pretty blue yarn and the pattern. As Mom will tell you, her gifts come with “assembly required,” and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Knitting: Poncho
This very femine poncho is only 2 pieces with 2 seams and one row of single-crochet at the neck.
Knitting: Scarf, Shawl / Wrap
This pattern contains instructions for a shawl and a scarf. Both written and charted instructions are included.
Knitting: Pullover
Fun sweater to make, comfortable sweater to wear. There are 4 knitted pieces. You start at the ribbing of one sleeve, working the cable/fern pattern creating the sleeve, then the yoke, then the other sleeve, then working the other ribbing, and binding off. You then pick up the sts across the chest and work the cable/fern pattern down increasing...
Knitting: Cardigan
Here is your perfect over-sized, throw on anytime cardigan. The stitch pattern is a simple 3-stitch, 4-row pattern. The back is knitted, including the back neck trim. The fronts are then picked up and knitted, including the front bands and buttonholes. The sleeves are then picked up and knitted. The back and fronts have ribbed side edges. This ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The shawl is knitted in one piece. There are beads in the ribbed front edge and the garter stitch bottom trim. The beading is very easy. You simply bring up a bead, from your pre-loaded ball, and then knit or purl your next stitch. And with many of my shawls, it is designed to stay on your shoulders without the use of a shawl pin.
Knitting: Scarf
It is so nice to wear a scarf where you do not have to worry about the right side or the wrong side facing out. You have that feature with this scarf. The cables are on both sides. It is worked on the bias. It is a 10-row pattern repeat. You will have fun making it and wearing it, or giving it to someone very special. I used a self-striping yar...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap, Scarf
The sizes provided in the pattern is for scarf or shawl. Also, it is provided in written or charted versions. There are also directions provided for you to add, or not add the sawtooth border. The repeats for the lace stitch is 10 sts and 34 rows, and the stitch pattern does lend itself to using markers, should you desire.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This baby afghan is a treasure. It is completely reversible, with cables on both sides. It is worked from the bottom, starting with only 2 sts, working to the widest, at 378 sts, and then to the top point, only 2 sts. When you are through knitting, all that you have to do is weave in the ends and block, and of course, enjoy.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
My Wave Edge Shawl is so comfortable to wear. Due to the short-rows, it hugs the shoulders, so that it will stay on all day, without the use of a shawl pin. There is a slip-stitch trim at the inner edge, making that smooth to the skin. The Wave Edge Lace is provided in written and in charted form.
Knitting: Cardigan
A perfect little cardigan for warm weather. The yarn that I used is a cottom blend and I designed it with short sleeves. The lacy beaded diamond pattern travels from the center bottom over the shoulders. The garter stitch beaded front and neck band really add a great interest. The lace and beading instructions are provided in written and charte...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is knit from the top down. Due to the shape, you will find that it will stay on your shoulders without the use of a shawl pin. The zigzag edging is created from the final row of sts of the shawl. This shawl has the same shaping as my Lyon Lacy Shawl, previouls published, but the lace is more intricate.
Knitting: Vest
The vest is made primarily with mitered squares, with side gussets and a small shawl collar. And, there is absolutely NO sewing.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The shawl has a V shape that will stay on as you go through your day, without the use of a shawl pin. It is made with 2 rectangles. The first rectangle starts with a square with 4 Large Stars, and then proceeds to complete the rectangle while knitting many Little Stars. You then pick up stitches along the side of the Large Star square and compl...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a great unisex hat that can be folded up, or pulled down to keep your ears warm. Instructions are for sizes infant to extra-large adult. Also, there are instructions for knitting the hat circularly, or knitting it flat.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl has V shaping in the back, which makes it very easy to wear. It will just stay on your shoulders, without the means of any kind of attachment.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
This easy shrug is knitted flat with cables at either end that become the cuffs. There are only 2 small seams. The trim knitting is done as you are knitting the body of the shrug. The sample pictured was made with one strand each of Classic Elite Portland Tweed and Giselle. The Portland Tweed has been discontinued. I found that one strand of Cl...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This is knitted in strips of alternating colors. The strips are then sewn together in a staggered fashion to create the saw-tooth edges. The yarn is DK weight. You will need 880 yards of Color A (I used yellow), and 660 yards of Color B (I used sky blue). The finished baby blanket looks a lot more complicated than it is.
Knitting: Pullover
The pullover is worked in the round, from the neck down. The stripes are graduated, more solid-colored at the top, and move solid-colored at the bottom. You use about 60% solid color, and 40% multi color. I used Trendsetter Madras and Trendsetter Bali. The texture and color choices are great. The jog that you often see when knitting stripes in ...
Knitting: Poncho
This poncho is constructed by knitting 2 rectangles and it has only 2 seams. The stitch pattern is a 8-row repeat, and all wrong-side rows are K2, purl to the last 2 sts, K2. (Personally, I love lace, but I also love my brain-dead rows.) There is no knitting or crochet trim that is required.
Knitting: Cardigan
As you can see, this garment is much longer in the back than it is in the front, and it is also A-line. All of the trim is completed in an 8-row corrugated rib pattern. The curve is created with short-rows. It is worked in one piece to the armholes. When picking out your size, go by your chest measurement. If you are in between sizes, choose th...

This is the perfect casual sweater. Instructions include an optional belly pocket. And the neck can be finished with a collar or a hoodie.
Knitting: Pullover
This casual pullover has instructions for an optional belly pocket. The neck can be finished with a collar or a hoodie. There are 9 sizes available. If you have a lot of kids to knit for, you will use this pattern several times.
Knitting: Cardigan
I used Prism Sport Weight Euroflax Linen, which normally knits at 22 sts to 4”, and I knitted it looser, 20 sts to 4”. This is the perfect casual chic piece to throw on. The lacy pattern is a multiple of 15, plus 2, and all of the wrong side rows are purl. You knit the lower body, then cast on more stitches for the sleeve and work the upper bod...
Knitting: Coat / Jacket
This pattern uses a self-striping yarn and it is knit side to side. That is how you get the flattering vertical stripes. The Mock Rib Stitch is completely reversible. That is what makes the collar and lapels so pleasing. The jacket could be made for a man or a woman. The sleeves are picked up at the armhole edge and then knitted downward. The c...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap, Scarf
The basic clapotis, designed by Kate Gilbert, is knitted on the bias with strategic drop stitches. In my version, I have included reversible cables. Four sizes are available, small scarf, large scarf, small shawl, and large shawl. The model, Purl, is wearing the large shawl.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a really fun way to make a triangle shawl. Although not totally reversible, it is almost reversible. You could also use up scrap yarns, but you do need to make sure that they are the correct gauge.
Knitting: Pullover
The Boatneck Pullover is made with Classic Elite Sprout, a textured, bulky 100% organic cotton yarn. The garment is A-line, which is achieved by changing the size of the needles, not the number of stitches. Because of the A-line, the fit is loose. Pick your size by your bust measurement or maybe and inch or two more.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap, Scarf
I took the basic clapotis and added beads. It is made it with DK weight yarn and 6/0 beads.Three sizes available, scarf, small shawl, or large shawl. The picture is the large shawl.
Knitting: Cardigan
I call this cardigan unbalanced because although the V-neck is not asymmetric, the collar is asymmetric, and the right front is 10 stitches wider than the left front. The body of the cardigan is made with Cascade Ultra Pima Paints, and the bottom trim, sleeve cuff, and collar is made with a solid color Cascade Ultra Pima. This yarn is 100% pima...
Knitting: Cardigan
This fun, basic cardigan was made using Berroco Comfort, 50% acrylic, 50% nylon, washer & dryer friendly. It uses 3 colors, one for the back and the stripes, and 2 other contrasting colors. We used some rather unisex colors, but you could go very masculine or very feminine. It would also be a lot of fun to do school colors.
Knitting: Pullover
This lacy pullover was knitted with Prism Delicato, a lace-weight Tencel. The process and the product is fabulous. The back and the front are worked from the bottom up, then the shoulders are sewn together and sleeves are picked up and worked down. There are how-to pictures provided in the pattern.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl has a V shape to it, so when you wear it, it stays on your shoulders without the use of a shawl pin. The looped fringe is made with a crochet hook as a method of binding off. For the non-crocheters, don’t be afraid, it is easy.
Knitting: Coat / Jacket
I got the idea for this sweater from a jacket that I saw in a fashion magazine. There is a lot of swing in this jacket. As a matter of fact, the bottom is about twice as wide as the chest. The garment was knitted loose to add to the drape. The front bands are in 1x1 rib that is knit as you knit the fronts. The right front band is also cabled an...
Knitting: Scarf
This large scarf / small shawl was made with Alchemy Silken Straw. This yarn feels like straw on the hank, but softens like silk as you work with it, and is quite luxurious after blocking. You start out with only 10 sts, widen out to 110 sts, and decrease back down to 10 sts. Then, after binding off, you drop the edge sts creating the beaded fr...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is easy to wear. Because of the curved upper edge, it hugs the shoulders. Three sizes are available, small, medium & large. The model is wearing the medium. If you are small of stuture, you will feel more comfortable with the small. If you like to swing one end of your shawl over your shoulder and make sure it stays there, you wi...
Knitting: Vest
This is a fun vest to make. Because of the self-striping wool, it looks more difficult to make than it actually is. It is only a 6 row pattern, and 2 of the rows are garter stich.
Knitting: Coat / Jacket
This jacket was a favorite at my shop. You use 6 colors of sock yarn, 2 strands at a time, and change one strand every 6 to 8 rows, depending on size. You can use solid colors, hand-dyed colors, or self-striping or a combination. If you are using the typical 100-gram ball yarn of sock yarn, you will need 6 colors, and 2 balls of each color no m...
Knitting: Pullover
This casual pullover is very similar to our Sanibel Crossover, but with a more spectacular yarn and looser gauge. We made it from Prism Cool Stuff, although you could use, Wild Stuff, Light Stuff, or Layers Stuff.. The yarn is made of cotton, rayon, nylon, silk, eyelash, glitz, just a little bit of everything. (Wild Stuff and Layers Stuff also ...
Knitting: Cardigan
This kimono is made of Prism Tencel Tape, which is a soft, drapy yarn. And I knitted it loose, which adds to the drapiness. The Diagonal Lace Pattern is a 4-row rep. Not too much to keep track of, but it is important that you do keep track of your rows. When choosing your size, remember you want it roomy. Allow for a 6 to 10” ease.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl has a V shape which is created by knittting 2 rectangles. This type of shawl is easy to wear because is just sits on your shoulders without needing a fastener.
Knitting: Scarf
I wrote this pattern because I wanted a beaded scarf that was reversible. Also, another pattern that I had worked and taught was difficult for people to understand. I tried to make easier.
Knitting: Cardigan
This design was at the request of one of my customers, who provided me with a picture from a fashion catalog. Several of my customers made it. We used a worsted weight cotton, Trendsetter Bali, together with a thin, sparkle, sequin yarn, Trendsetter Luna. The resulting sweater is dressy, but not too dressy.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This lacy shawl is knitted by starting at the center back neck. The shawl is essentially 3 triangles, but it is knit all in one piece. You will increase 6 sts every RS row, having about 300 sts on your final lace row. The bottom sawtooth edge is knitted from the last row of the shawl. There is no sewing and no picking up of stitches.
Knitting: Vest
This loose-fitting, waterfall vest is easy to wear and easy to make. It is a semi-rectangle. There is some shaping in the back so that it does not hike up, and the cable trim in the front keeps it from falling off of your shoulders. I used a self-striping aran weight yarn, but knitted at a looser gauge to add to the drape of the vest.
Knitting: Pullover
This a loosely knit, loosely worn garment. It is knit sideways. The front is knit larger than the back so that you sew it together with crossover in the front. It can be worn in the summer over a cami, or in the winter over a turtleneck.
Knitting: Cardigan
This garmented is knitted side-ways with 2 rows of a solid color in st st and 2 rows of a self-striping yarn in garter st. The effect is slimming and pleasing to the eye. You will be using equal amounts of each yarn.
Knitting: Scarf
You will use 2 colors, one hank of each color. The body of the scarf is knitted holding both strands together. One ruffle is made with one strand of one of the colors, and the other ruffle is made with one strand of the other color. There is then a beaded bind off.
Knitting: Pullover
This cabled pullover was designed to be worn by men or women. It is made from Trendsetter Merino 6, which is DK weight 100% superwash merino. Lovely to wear and to work with. There are cables everywhere and a shawl collar. The gauge is 20 sts and 31 rows in stockinette (and 3 cable patterns in width by 1 cable pattern in height equals 4-3/4” by...
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
Both the shrug and the faux moebius/hood are made using one strand sock yarn (we used K1C2 Ty-Dy Socks) held together with one strand Kid Seta (either Trendsetter or Cascade). The shrug only has two small seams and no after knitting. The moebius is knit in the round with either one twist or two twists. These are two separate pieces that can be ...
