A dash of yellow flies past me as I walk under the cover of tall trees towards the lush grasslands. The swift bird calls exuberantly and seems to draw loops and curves in the sky. As I hike further towards the stream and lake, more birds fly past me, alert, curious, bold and talkative. Their acrobatic skills while hunting mid-air are quite impr...

Slender and swift birds loop high up in the air. Their high-pitched call resonates in my ears. Every summer, all summer long. Those are warm memories… These calls echo in my head, long after the birds have gone. Always on the move, from South to North and back, traveling thousands of kilometers, restlessly, tirelessly.

Dianthuses are one of my favorite flowers. They come in a variety of rounded shapes, with one or several rows of small petals. Some are notched. Some are fringed. Some have several colors, patterns or speckles. Some even grow high up on mountain ranges. They’re all lovely, and I love them especially because of their fragrance.

Arches reach for the sky. The light pours through the windows and reaches the floor tiles, coloring them in hundreds of joyful shades. All is silent. The filtered sun gently warms us, warping us in a soft and comfortable blanket. We can rest assured that all is well.

Colorful layers of rock seem to dance in the evening glow. Orange, salmon, pink, and as the night falls, darker purple tones, burgundy and aubergine. Who knew that beds of rock could be so beautifully breathtaking? And so beautifully colorful? The fascinating display of strata in various colors and thicknesses, combined with an undulating terra...

Indulge in memories of summer. Enjoy all the goodness that autumn brings. Warmth and sweetness. Shifting colors and fullness. To me, apricots and plums are the symbols of these passing seasons. The Abricotine scarf is named after a Danish pastry using apricots. It combines these fruits and seasons into a delightful play of colors and lines.

Raspberries remind me of many summers as a child. Strolling through the garden; playing in the sun. Raspberries’ soft velvety skin and bright color make them fun to pick and eat on the spot. That’s the fun of it!

When I was in high school and later at university, I used to practice horseback-riding. Back then, especially for jumping lessons, I often rode a horse named Pégase, Pegasus in French. He had a very dark bay coat, almost black, and had a rather small frame but was very energetic. Thinking of it now, naming a horse Pegasus, after the mythical wi...

Wavy columns make their way out like the rays of a distant sun. In a swirl of subtle color changes, light bounces off the surface, creating an infinite number of shades of blue. Steel blue. A cool, calm, silvery tone punctuated by subtle touches of teal and orchid, as if iridescent. Moondust or so it seems. Softly mysterious, fascinating, ever ...

What about a quick trip to a nice tropical destination to chase away winter for good? Just right now; no traveling needed. When I picked the yarn for the Kalasi cowl, a vivid orange-red, bright orange sunsets popped in my mind. Imagine: Expenses of fine sand. Some palm trees. Waters so clear you could see right through down to the sea floor. An...

Some stitch patterns simply call upon you and beg to be knitted. And some yarns do that too! With the Amphora cowl, I had two such cases, a stitch pattern and a skein, and they were made for each other. I added one variation of the stitch pattern to complete the mix, and so was the Amphora cowl born. The main focus of the cowl lies in the play ...
