Scientists believe that during lightning storms on Saturn, it rains diamonds! While this occurs in the dark depths of the gas giant’s atmosphere, I like to imagine diamonds falling through a dark sky, glittering when they chance to catch the light of the far-off sun. The Sun Flare shawl is a half-circle shawl that originated in some doodles I made in my pattern notebook for a progressive geometric design.
