Welcome to my new design. I designed and knit this baby blanket/shawl for my best friend’s baby who was born safely last December.

Turquoise is by far my favourite colour on the planet. This beautiful cape is knit in two shades, that when placed beside each other, make my mouth water. How can blue look warm? It has such a vibrant heat to it that I can’t stop looking at it :smile:

I bought this beautiful merino fingering weight yarn while I was at one of the most romantic weddings I have ever been to. The location was the stunning Gougane Barra in County Cork in Ireland and I found the yarn in a gorgeous wee yarn shop in Bantry the next day.

A cute little bookmark designed and knit for a knitting class in my local library. The class was an hour and a half long and I wanted a small project that could be completed in that time. It has a pretty scalloped edge and a leafy lace design. Treat your books to a proper page marker!

Druminchin Shawlette is a top down triangle garter stitch lace shawl with a knit on lace edging. The centre spine has a diamond pattern and the two identical side triangles have a diamond zigzag pattern.

This beautiful Shetland lace shawlette is made from one skein of either lace or sock yarn. In my samples, I used yarns with a silk content so that the drape and softness of the finished shawl is gorgeous! You will not be able to stop wearing it :smiley:

Dainty little lace coaster to grace the chicest coffee tables. Knit in cotton for easy care and laundering, the Heritage Coaster uses a beautiful old Shetland Lace Motif in it’s centre giving it a modern twist. Simple and quick to knit, it only needs under 10g of yarn to complete.

Katydid is a small garter stitch kerchief knit from side to side with a knit on edging that is knit at the same time as the body of the kerchief. I designed this stole for the RDS National Crafts Competition in 2016 and Lusna won the Guild of Irish Lacemakers Award! It is the lightest, airiest and most beautiful shawl I have every made and it was a definite test for my patience and skills.

The Madeleine Shawl is the first featured design by lace knitter Aisling Doonan aka Rubysasha. It is knitted using 1 skein of hand dyed 4ply/sock yarn and it is a perfect cover up for those long Summer evenings, draped over your shoulders. The lace design opens up beautifully when blocked.

This pretty little cowl is inspired by an old Shetland Lace pattern from a Victorian knitting pattern. It is knit in the round with every row knit, making it a nice relaxing project. Perfect for Summer to snuggle up with when the evenings get a bit chilly.

This is an interesting and textured cowl that starts with a provisional cast on for the bottom edging, which is knit back and forth flat on two needles. The Jamieson’s Lace Ultra shawl is knit with a 3.5mm needle and uses 1,725 yards of yarn approx. and the Colourmart Laceweight 2/28nm Cashmere/Silk yarn was knit with a 3.25mm needle and uses 1,441 yards of yarn approx. Both knit up to a shawl of 54” in diameter which is a beautiful size for snuggling under.

I love colourful tams, making them and wearing them. This Seaside Tam reminds me of candyfloss and sunshine and laughing children. It is knit from Jamieson and Smith Jumper Weight and Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift yarn in a beautiful array of pinks and blues. 11 colours are used in total.

Solstice is a beautiful triangular shawl knit in cobweb weight wool, inspired by a trip to see the Stone Age Passage Tomb in Newgrange, Co. Meath during the Winter Solstice last year. Unfortunately, the fog didn’t allow the light to travel up the passageway but the shawl is light and warm and makes up for my disappointment!
