This is a fairly quick knit (within a few hours), and what cat will be able to resist this adorable toy? It is knit in the round using double pointed needles (dpns) and fingering weight yarn such as leftover stash sock yarn. The tail is knit first as an i-cord and then the stitches begin to increase as the body continues on. The separate ears b...

This hand warmers and hat set will be fashionable and warm in the autumn and early winter season. For those of you in milder climates, you will likely be able to wear this set all winter long!

It’s sock hop time at school and every young lady’s doll must have a poodle skirt and cardigan sweater for the dance! This is an easy knitting pattern requiring knowledge of knitting-in-the-round for the skirt and includes the skirt, cardigan sweater and a headband. The embellishments are up to you! I used a store-bought applique for the pink s...

The hat portion is worked flat in rows, and the ruffled brim is worked in the round, The flower adornment is an optional crocheted embellishment and, of course, may be substituted however the k...
Knitting: Cardigan
This soft and sweet newborn cardigan/hoodie is a quick knit using only Garter stitch. It is knit bottom up on the back and then without binding off, it is continued down the front on both sides – all in one piece using two skeins/balls of yarn. The sleeves are knit flat from the shoulders to the cuffs, and then the sweater is seamed down each s...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Unintentionally, these airy spring lace socks turned out looking like something from the produce department – pineapples to be exact!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The inspiration was a children’s show years ago. I am not sure if this program still airs anymore (the character was called Foofa). The beanie is easily knit in one day. It is knit in-the-round from the bottom up using mainly a stockinette stitch. It is totally seamless, so there are no seams to sew or irritate your little one’s head. Hobby Lobb...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks have it all. There’s a party going on in the front and just plain business in the back. The patterned front includes an easy-to-follow cable and lace pattern (memorizable; is that a word?) and includes both written and charted instructions (charted by my test knitter Sarah Hodgson - thanks Sarah)!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Join the crazy sock knitting revolution and become an addict with these plain vanilla socks knit toe up, magic loop with an afterthought heel. An afterthought heel may be added to any sock pattern; toe-up or cuff-down, it does not matter as long as the sole of the sock is stockinette stitch. Pictured in this pattern are two separate pairs of so...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Knit a pair of socks toe-up in your favorite knitting style - using either dpns or circulars, one sock or two socks at a time. Learn how to measure your foot to get a well-fitting pair of socks. A lengthy section of the pattern will discuss gauge and finished measurements, which will vary.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
For any knitter who loves knitting socks, this pair is designed toe-up with a complete afterthought heel and uses a sequence of Fibonacci numbers to create an intriguing pair of socks. Knit matching, opposite colors, or a completely mismatched pair! The blue pair used up stash sock yarn and the pink/orange pair was knit with Cascade Heritage Soc...

This is a great project for a beginning knitter wanting to learn new techniques including seamless knitting-in-the-round, yarn overs (yo) and knit 2 stitches together (k2tog).
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
Update Errata: Round 4 of the scalloped edging #2 should read - Round 4: k1, k1, ktbl, k1, ktbl, k1 around the first yo, use the second yo to skp – repeat from around.
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
When the cold weather approaches, make sure your 18” dolls are dressed appropriately for the weather with matching accessories that include a knit hat, scarf and leg warmers. Premier Yarns, Deborah Norville Serenity Sock Weight yarn was used to complete this project. You may be able to complete this entire set with one skein of yarn; however, I...
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
Perfect for gift giving, this is a quick and easy knit shawl for a special young lady’s doll. This particular yarn has sequins and metallic thread throughout making it dressy for a night on the town.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Sometimes a young lady needs just a little something with posh and pizazz to cover her shoulders for a night “out on the town,” a flower girl cover up, First Communion (in white) or possibly a daddy-daughter dance. This easy to knit shawlette takes slightly less than a skein of fine (#2) yarn. It is worked from the bottom up. The yarn selected ...
Knitting: Boot Cuffs / Toppers
The boot cuffs/toppers are easy enough for a beginning knitter desiring to upgrade her/his skills or for experienced two-at-a-time sock knitters! A beginner can begin by using double pointed needles and knitting one cuff at a time; the advanced knitter will likely want to use a circular needle and knit both at once.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I love EASY! This shawl is just that. It has a little bit of repetitive, easy-to-memorize lace stitches at the base and then switches to stockinette stitches (knit one row, purl one row) to the top. Knitting short rows (after the initial shock of the cast-on) makes this project go super quickly. For the best draping results and even-looking, fl...
Knitting: Pixie Hat, Mid-calf Socks
NOW THROUGH APRIL 8: Use the coupon code SPS during checkout and the pattern will be $1.00!!
Knitting: Scarf
This is a beginning knitter’s pattern for a beautiful, but not typical, scarf. It is actually knit lengthwise and using bulky (#5) yarn makes it go super fast. Make it as the pattern calls for, or make it even wider or narrower and create more stripes or none at all. The inspiration is from a scarf worn by Lorelai on a Gilmore Girls episode.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl has three parts – part 1: simply a stockinette st, part 2: an easy to repeat diamond pattern, and part 3: an easy two stitch repeat. Red Heart Boutique Treasure worsted weight yarn is absolutely perfect to use. Not only is it plush and very warm, it is also extremely soft and amazing yarn to work with. This shawl knits up very quickl...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These hand warmers are not only easy for a knitter who already knits in the round, they also knit up quickly and look entirely different when they are being worn than they appear off the hands. Hand warmers are in demand for the cooler crisp weather and look quite fashionable. Knit these in a day!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
The texture of these handwarmers is lovely and similar to a leaf shape. A few yarn suggestions:
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Designed and created for girls 3 and over, this adorable character hat is like a little rag doll with huge button eyes and crazy pigtails. It is very stretchy, and only the length is slightly different between the small and large. The yarn is doubled throughout except for the ribbing, so it will keep your little girl’s head nice and warm in col...
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
Every girl’s doll will look adorable in this easy-to-knit short sleeve bolero and it will complement her little outfit as well. This is a portable, can-be-knit in a day project. Most is knit on straight needles, and the edging is knit in the round on a circular needle.
Knitting: Cloche Hat
This easy, easy, easy knit-in-the-round cloche is quite warm because it uses doubled yarn. It begins from the wide brim with the Garter Stitch and then changes to stockinette stitch through the crown.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This cute beanie style hat is easy enough for an experienced beginning knitter. It is knit entirely in the round in stockinette stitch. Use a long-tail cast on for the body of the hat and a Turkish Cast-On for each ear giving each a beautiful finished look from the front and the back. Instructions for the Turkish Cast-On are given in the patter...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This soft airy receiving blanket is knit in one piece including the edging. It’s perfect for covering a newborn and has no irritating seams on the wrong side. I used Caron Simply Soft 100% acrylic yarn for the 3-color blanket. Gauge is really not important to this project. Knitters may knit a larger size by using thicker yarn and larger needles...
Knitting: Cloche Hat
Four very easy newborn knitting patterns using the same basic instructions for each.
Knitting: Throw
Designed to be donated to a school auction in the school colors and logo, I loved knitting this and wanted to share the pattern with others. It is knit all in one piece! The paw prints are duplicate stitch after the knitting is completed.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Mittens
Make one for a newborn gift or make dozens to donate to hospital nurseries!
Knitting: Earflap Hat
The little ones will stay extra warm in this adorable character earflap hat. It’s guaranteed to attract smiles! It uses only one color of yarn and one basic stitch – the stockinette stitch, which when knit in the round is always a knit stitch. It is suggested that the skein of yarn is divided into two balls because the majority of the hat is kn...
Knitting: Earflap Hat
This adorable dog hat will keep your child’s head very warm during the cold winter months. The main portion of the hat uses double-stranded yarn, so divide a skein into two balls. Do not double the yarn while knitting the earflaps or the ears. They will automatically double because of the knitting techniques used. A Turkish Cast-on* was used fo...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a novelty baby, toddler or child’s penguin beanie. It is mostly knit in the round except for the penguin’s scarf. The beak uses a Turkish Cast-on and directions are given for this technique.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The hats were designed to be given away to hospitals that care for premature babies. The patterns are for very tiny hats to hopefully fit 1.5-4 or 5 lb. infants. They are designed to be shallow, so they will hopefully not need to be turned up at the brim. They are stretchy beyond their given finished measurements. Lastly, they are extremely sof...
Knitting: Socks - Other
Now flip flops can be worn all year round with these socks created specifically to be worn with flip-flops! They are very comfortable, soft and warm. They are made from the toe up using a Turkish Cast-on (but use whatever method you are most comfortable with to close the toe).
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This is an incredibly soft and warm head covering. It is knit entirely in the round on circular needles (double-pointed needles are optional) and can be knit in a day. To care for your finished hat, hand wash and lay flat to dry. To block to suggested measurements, lay wet beret flat on a towel with the brim underneath, widest part measured and...
Knitting: Legwarmers
Pattern Re-release!!! This pattern has been completely revised and is just $1 Dec. 6, 2018 through Jan. 6, 2019. Use the coupon code BABYLEGS.
Knitting: Brimmed Hat
This is just too cute! The little sunhat (for every season) is quite stretchy and may begin to fit babies as early as three months and still fit up to possibly two years. (The little model pictured is actually 25 months!
Knitting: Cloche Hat
The little hatband uses scrap yarn; make several so they are interchangeable! Lion Brand’s Jiffy yarn or Deborah Norville’s Serenity Chunky weight yarn would work well for this project, and you only need 1 skein from scraps from your stash for a head/hatband. Embellish the hat with a bow or flower barrette. Questions? Email me at woohoopepper@h...
Knitting: Bonnet
This soft bonnet uses #4 weight acrylic yarn. Particularly great for this project is Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Yarn.” the bonnet is basically seamless except where the ruffle is attached to the hat, but by using a backward loop cast on, it still remains seamless in appearance!
