DESIGNER PORTRAIT – Karoline Skovgaard / Aegyoknit

I’m Karoline Skovgaard and the designer behind AegyoKnit.

With a Master’s degree in Literature, I’ve always been fascinated by stories. Not only the ones we read, but also the ones we wear, create and carry with us through life. Knitting has accompanied me for as long as I can remember ever since my mum taught me the first stitches. Today, AegyoKnit is where my love of storytelling, craftsmanship and timeless design meet.

Growing up with a curious mind and later becoming part of a Korean family, I found myself deeply inspired by the quiet beauty that exists in simplicity. That influence lives naturally within AegyoKnit—not as a theme, but as a way of seeing. A balance between softness and structure. Between calm and character.

I don’t design to follow trends. I design garments that I hope will become favourites for years to come. Pieces you’ll reach for on an ordinary Tuesday just as naturally as on the days you want to feel a little more like yourself.

Each pattern is carefully developed with attention to construction, fit and finishing. I continuously work to make my designs accessible to as many knitters as possible, while recognizing that every design has its own possibilities and limitations. Rather than treating every pattern the same, I believe each deserves individual consideration, ensuring the final garment stays true to the idea it was inspired from.

Thank you for being here.

THE PATTERNS
At Aegyoknit you will find knit patterns in all different stages of difficulty, some beginners friendly and some for the more adventurous and experienced knitters, which allows you to develop and try out new skills and techniques.
