When my mother taught me, which at that point seemed the mind boggling complexities, of ‘Knit’ & ‘Purl’ as a child- followed by a long gap until I picked it up again when I was expecting my own child- I couldn’t have known what a ‘constant’ knitting would one day become for me.

I love knitting and it’s been such a part of my daily life, that old friend that remains reliable, comforting, and forever engaging that I couldn’t imagine life without it!
I design because it remains endlessly inviting, challenging and rewarding. I happily concede to continuously not being able to resist the urge to create something as beautiful as the designer in me wants it to be, whilst keeping it to the most simple path of least resistance the knitter in me wants to knit
And the joy I get from wearing pieces I have made, stitch by stitch with my own hands, never grows old. For me it’s like layering up with a superhero cape instead of just getting dressed, a fun shield of self expression and the reward your own time and work brings you that blazes over any niggles about body image, style choice doubts and so on and just fills me with joy, about how this craft that I am devoted to, so allows me to fully choose how I dress me!
