Primavera (Spring Time in Spanish) is knit from the top-down in seamless construction with raglan sleeves. The neckline is shaped with short-rows. The body is knit with A-line shaping in a longer length. However, since the tunic is knit from the top-down, you decide on the overall length.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a fun shawl to knit with self-striping yarn! The idea for this shawl was born out of a vest that I designed several years ago. As I was knitting the vest’s sideways shawl collar, I thought to myself that this would also make a great sideways-knit shawl.
Anatolian knitting, also known as Turkish knitting has been around for centuries! Most of its color-work knitting is featured in the famous Turkish socks. But since I am not a sock knitter, I decided that it would be great to incorporate an interpretation of one of these beautiful color-work patterns into a sweater.
In this pattern, I have combined my love for knitting top-down garments with my love for lace incorporated into garments. It is a relatively fast knit with a lace pattern that is simple, yet beautiful. The front is lace and the back is stockinette. However, the lace does not cover the entire width of front section. The sides are in stockinette a...
Knitting for a man can be a challenge because men are simply difficult to knit for. Men want simplicity in a garment that is practical to wear. Also, they prefer muted colors, such as gray or brown. I think that this sweater incorporates all of the above, plus it is a fast knit because of its large gauge.
This figure flattering and easy to knit top is worked from the top-down, with raglan sleeve construction. The front of the top features a Henley t-shirt type opening, which is cut low and closed with pretty buttons. The body of the top features a flattering waist shaping. Edging around the neckline, sleeves and bottom is worked in a seed stitch ...
Knitting: Pullover, Tee
This is a perfect multi-season pattern! Choose a summer type yarn and follow the short sleeve instructions and you have a great warm weather t-shirt or choose a warmer type yarn and follow the ¾ or full-length sleeve instructions and you have a great cold weather pullover.
Knitting: Pullover, Tee
In this pattern, I combined my passion for top-down construction with lace knitting. I named this pattern Ricky for all Seasons …because my knitting friend Ricky whom I knit with on a regular basis introduced me to Estonian Braids (also called Lateral Braids). Most of the time, this braid is used in sock knitting, but it is too beautiful t...
Have you ever wanted to knit a skirt but didn’t because it seem so much work? Well, how about a swingy, flirty summer skirt that is knit at a 4 sts/1” gauge? The skirt features 4 very pretty lace panels and increases are worked throughout the skirt for an A-line figure flattering shape.
I love the look of vintage knits, especially from the 1940’s and 1950’s. However, most of them are worked at an incredibly small gauge and a size “XL”, back then, seems to be equivalent to a size “M” nowadays. I was inspired by a square neck vintage top that I saw and this is what I came up with.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
My daughter Amie loves berets and she is always asking me to design her one with pretty lace. I love Japanese Lace and this beret incorporates one of the prettiest lace designs that I have ever come across. Because the lace is worked in the round, it makes it quite easy to work this pattern.
