Knitting: Booties
Our first grandson arrived in August of 2022 and, after making many sweet Mary Jane shoes with little white socks attached, I decided to come up with something for a little boy. Penny loafer sock booties were the result. The pattern is full of pictures and has a video to get you started on the first couple of rows, so there is no guess work. Th...

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I designed this hat to go with a sleep sack I made. It uses Emma’s super silky yarn held with lace weight cashmere, making the hat divinely soft to the touch.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I wrote this pattern when my young friends began having their second babies. Natural cotton works for either sex and they look cute worn together. I used Blue Sky fibers organic cotton in Drift color. I also used size US8 Flexi flips, which I think are the easiest for this pattern. Four or five US8 double pointed needles can also be used.

The combination of the bear that is dressed just like a characte...
Knitting: Component (stitch, edge) - Other
This pattern gave my old Vera Wang duffel new life! While the bag was in great condition, the handles were showing some wear. By knitting around them in i-cord fashion with feltable wool, the handles now have soft, fuzzy cushioned support and show no signs of wear and tear.
Knitting: Sports Equipment
Patons Classic Wool worsted works best for this pattern. I used 2 100 g. skeins of black and 2 100 g. skeins of burgundy. In order for the pattern to create correct finished dimensions it is imporant to use wool that felts well. No superwash.
Knitting: Sports Equipment
This yoga mat was super fulfilling when completed. The whole project was done using Paton’s Classic Wool worsted, which is 100% wool an NOT superwash. I recommend using only this wool for the pattern to turn out looking like photos. It is important that the wool felts well.

These are lovely sock booties knitted flat and seamed up the back. Just about any soft medium or worsted weight yarn will work. There are no short rows. You can also thread a 1-1.5” wide piece of ribbon into the front of each bootie and tie it in a bow for a more feminine look. Sometimes I sew bells onto the front, just a bit lower than where t...

Straight needles work just as well. I am a loose knitter. If you are a tight knitter you can use a size 7 needle.

This entire pattern is done in ‘knit, knit, slip’ sequence that has 6 row repeat. I tried to include every imaginable detail a beginner knitter might require. There are pictures of how to slip stitches with yarn in front and yarn in back. Photos of how to attach yarn and photos of how individual rows should look are also included.

Knitting: Sports Equipment
This driver cover is designed to fit new large head drivers. It is knitted with double strand of worsted yarn for durability. Pattern uses three colors. I try to match golf bag when I choose colors. Knitting: Accessories - Other
This is a terrific beginner project as it uses a small amount of yarn and knitting part of project takes only about an hour. It is felted, so you will need wool that felts as well as a round metal key ring.

Knitting: Baby Blanket
Boyer Lattice Car Seat Blanket was inspired by dear friend who couldn’t find a good car seat blanket pattern for her expected first grandchild. This design allows car seats straps and buckles to pass through the lattice, but doesn’t look like a blanket with a hole in it when you are using it outside of the car.
